When we were originally approached by a member of Pilar’s team we were extremely sceptical about their intentions and motives. We had heard a lot about this kind of unsolicited approach and were very wary. But at the end of the day, we were no nearer to seeing the return of our capital so what had we got to lose?

We supplied Pilar with all of the relevant documentation and we agreed the terms of our instruction – we would get our capital back, Pilar’s firm would take the interest as their fee.

Pilar has worked diligently for us in handling our case. She has always been honest and helpful and kept us informed.

Now we had to provide Pilar with a Power of Attorney giving her permission to act on our behalf. The Notary Public we used in the UK to prepare the document was very much against us proceeding – telling us that no good would come of it! He even insisted that we restrict the powers so that Pilar had no ability to transfer funds.

The case was successful and Pilar secured our capital and the interest. However, because she had no power to transfer funds we had to provide a new Power of Attorney giving her the ability to transfer funds. We went back to the Notary to prepare a new document – he was amazed to see the Court Warrant. “I have never seen one of these before and I don’t know of anyone who has every recovered their funds”
